The species Camellia cucphuongensis is internationally recognized. The Ninh Binh Golden Camellia Park conserves over 35 Vietnamese Golden Camellia varieties in a 30-hectare protected valley.
This product supports conservation of the species and provides sustainable livelihoods for local communities, especially the Muong ethnic group in the buffer zone of Cuc Phuong National Park. It is also tied to cultural heritage, celebrated annually during the “Nho Quan Ethnic Cultural Festival” and protected under the certified brand “Cuc Phuong” since 2022.
