Thu Thoan Farm – Clean Chicken from the Heart of Soc Son
Located just 35km north of Hanoi, Thu Thoan Farm is a standout model of ethical, clean livestock farming. Nestled in the green hills of Soc Son, the farm raises over 3,000 Ri chickens and local native pigs on a 3-hectare area across two communes. What makes Thu Thoan’s poultry special isn’t just the natural setting – it’s the deep commitment to animal welfare, sustainable feed, and absolute transparency.
With a background in veterinary science, Ms. Nguyễn Thu Thoan developed her own signature formula: fermented feed made from corn, rice bran, malt, and medicinal herbs like garlic, cinnamon, and turmeric. No antibiotics. No chemicals. Just naturally enhanced nutrition that gives her chicken meat an aromatic, sweet flavor praised by visitors from across Vietnam.
The farm uses probiotic bedding made of sawdust and rice husk, eliminating odors and later repurposed for growing vegetables and medicinal plants. All products are traceable, hygienically processed, and meet safety tests for Salmonella and E. coli.
