Established on December 12, 2018, in Ban Phong, Nam Lanh commune, Sop Cop district, Son La province, the cooperative is led by Mr. Tong Van Toan, an ethnic Thai farmer born in 1992. Starting his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 26 with poultry farming, Mr. Toan later diversified into pig raising and fruit cultivation. Despite early setbacks, his perseverance led to the founding of Toan Duyen Cooperative, aiming to promote sustainable agriculture, community engagement, and higher incomes for local farmers. The cooperative operates across multiple agricultural sectors, including the raising of pigs, cattle, and poultry; cultivation of mangoes, oranges, pineapples, ginger, eucalyptus, and forest trees over an area of nearly 260 hectares; and providing agricultural services such as supplying fertilizers, animal feed, technical support, and developing OCOP-certified products. With a team of official and associate members, along with regular workers, the cooperative has achieved stable growth and built long-term partnerships in production and marketing. Beyond economic success, Toan Duyen actively contributes to community development through charitable funds, support for disadvantaged households, and training programs on safe agricultural practices. It also works closely with local agricultural service centers to apply VietGAP standards, ensure safe production, and improve post-harvest handling. Looking ahead, the cooperative is committed to producing safe, organic products, strengthening value chain linkages, building strong product brands, and applying digital transformation to agricultural management and production—serving as a model for rural development in the highlands.
