Grown primarily from specialty varieties such as Bo Xu, Bo Trang, and Thai guava, these fruits are renowned for their large size, thick crunchy flesh, natural sweetness, and distinctive aroma. A typical guava weighs around 500g, with some reaching over 1kg. Harvested year-round, the fruit is at its best between September and March, when the flavor is crisp, juicy, and perfectly balanced.
Cultivation follows VietGAP standards and organic-oriented practices, ensuring no herbicides are used. Instead, farmers rely on biological agents to prevent pests and diseases, meticulously record every stage in production logs for full traceability, and observe strict pre-harvest intervals to guarantee safety. Intercropping lemongrass beneath the guava trees helps control weeds naturally while providing farmers with additional income.
Tieu Xa Guava enjoys a strong reputation among consumers for its taste, appearance, and food safety. The fruit is distributed to supermarkets, clean produce stores, and online marketplaces, with select batches showcased at agricultural fairs and even trialed for export. By adopting clean farming techniques, growers have increased yields by around 150kg per sao and raised selling prices by 1,500–2,000 VND per kilogram compared to conventional guava.
Looking ahead, the Tieu Xa production group aims to expand VietGAP-certified orchards, develop the “Tieu Xa Guava” brand with traceable origin, integrate orchard tourism, and participate in the provincial OCOP program to further enhance the product’s value.
